Freelance Informatica expert, working in data warehousing and data integration since 2007 and self-employed since 2011. My focus areas are migrating Informatica PowerCenter to the IDMC cloud platform and specification-driven development with Claude Code. Using a process I set up myself, built on specifications, work packages and specialized agents for design, implementation, testing and review, I build my own tooling around IDMC, for example for automated deployments and license consumption analysis. I also support data governance initiatives with Informatica EDC, Axon and CDGC and design DWH architectures based on Data Vault 2.0. I have worked for banks, manufacturers, pharma, logistics companies and collecting societies as developer, architect, consultant and technical project lead.

Own tooling for IDMC
- Deployment tool: automated promotion of IDMC assets via the REST API – export, import, relocation between projects via the Migration Service, remapping of connections and runtime environments, taskflow publishing
- Metering tool: export and analysis of license consumption (IPU) via the metering API, as asynchronous jobs at summary, project, asset and job level
- Both in Python, production-ready behind corporate proxies and TLS inspection (retry, automatic re-login)
- Monitor (in development): web-based runtime monitor for IDMC with a Gantt chart of job and taskflow runs like the PowerCenter Workflow Monitor, organized by org, project, folder and asset; for administrators also the state of Secure Agents, their services and CDI-PC domains, with email alerts on failure
- In client projects: deployment tool for IDMC (Beitragsservice), deployment tools and migration PowerCenter → IDMC (DekaBank)
Own skills (domain knowledge for AI agents)
- IDMC REST API: knowledge verified against real orgs on auth, export/import, Migration Service, publishing and metering, including pitfalls and reference clients
- IDMC design objects: structure of mappings, mapping tasks and taskflows, editing outside the UI and offline validation, reconstructed from 231 production mappings
- IDMC connectors: map of all 198 connector guides with capabilities, connection configuration and documented pitfalls
- Informatica PowerCenter: object model and export XML, verified against real exports, plus the command-line tools pmrep, pmcmd and infacmd
Way of working
- Specification-driven: requirements become a versioned specification, broken down into milestones and work packages as issues
- Custom subagents for design, design review, implementation, testing and code review, each through to pull request and merge
- Workflow and model choice by complexity; unattended execution of entire milestones, stopping at the first failure
